Our Journey Through The Swag Dictionary

Like for most people on the internet, the Urban Dictionary offers some absolute beauties when it comes to alternative descriptions for words. We thought it would be fun to explore some of them and see how they relate to Swag Box!

SWAG

The millennials alternative word for "cool".

The new generation originally used swag to describe anyone thought to carry themselves in a way considered by some to be sexy or cool.

We like to think of ourselves as a pretty cool bunch of people - even if we do say so ourselves. We also recognise that the latest generation of employees aren’t looking for boring branded merch… they want SWAG!

They want things they can post pictures of on Instagram (improving your brand reach at the same time) and they want things that they will actually use. Think wireless phone chargers or headphones!

SWAG

SWAG stands for “Stuff We All Get”, typically when attending an expo or trade show. You get SWAG when people at stands hand out free stuff like pens, prizes, etc.

We all know that sometimes, people just like getting free stuff, it’s a simple fact of life. If you’re giving out free items at a stand just think of this. When that person gets home and empties their bag of MOUNTAINS of free things, do you want to be the company with items in the ‘keep’ pile or the ‘bin’ pile?

Go above and beyond in these situations and spend a little more on items you know people actually need and will use, and your brand reach will grow exponentially.

SWAG

An alternative term for pirate's treasure or booty.

Now, we’re not saying we’re pirates (not full-time at least), but how awesome would it be if your employees felt like they were genuinely receiving an item that they will treasure for a long time? Something that gives them the feeling of stumbling across a company where they feel like they’ve hit the jackpot? This is the feeling we can help you give to every single one of your employees through our Swag Boxes.

SWAG

Originally from the Scottish slang word "swagger" which was a description of the way some Scots walk (in a swaying motion).

We’ve all been there… you’re having a great time with your friends and by the end, someone is always swaying around like Conor McGregor on his way into a fight.

This feeling of being invincible and empowered is a feeling that you can give to your employees. Make them feel valued, make them feel important and give them the tools to conquer their role!
